Mrs. Kendall Twining
Educational Specialist
Mrs. Twining earned her M.Ed. in Elementary Education and B.A. in Spanish from the University of Virginia. After several years teaching second grade, she stepped away from full-time teaching for a season to stay home with her son. During those years, she continued to nurture her love of teaching through tutoring in Singapore Math and teaching fourth and fifth grades at an outdoor school. She joined the Tyndale team in 2024 as our Educational Support Specialist.
At Tyndale, Mrs. Twining has especially enjoyed deepening her understanding of mathematics and reading instruction. She has particularly enjoyed learning the art and science of teaching children to read in the early grades. One of her favorite parts of her role is the opportunity to work alongside a variety of teachers and students, collaborating to understand and meet the unique needs of each child.
Outside of Tyndale, Mrs. Twining loves spending time with her husband, Michael, and their son. Their newest family adventure is fishing, so you can often find them enjoying time together on the lake. She also enjoys painting, playing guitar, playing mahjong, and searching for seashells along the beaches of North Carolina.
