Athletics

Cultivating perseverance, teamwork, humility, and joy through faithful competition.

Overview

Athletics at Tyndale are part of the formation of the whole student. Through practice, competition, teamwork, and encouragement, students learn habits that extend beyond the field, track, or court.

We want students to pursue excellence with humility, compete with integrity, and grow in courage, self-control, and joy.

Athletics as Formation

Vision: At Tyndale Christian School, sport offers joyful, imaginative, and embodied participation in God’s good creation, forming the whole person in the pursuit of excellence and joyful discovery.

Mission: To create an atmosphere where students can engage fully in the authentic experience of sport, giving their whole selves, practicing virtue, and participating in the joy and challenge of sport, so that they may achieve victory and be bold in every attempt.

Growing Through Athletics

Athletics help students grow in confidence, teamwork, discipline, and perseverance.

LOWER SCHOOL ATHLETICS:

Lower School Athletics
Students are introduced to movement, teamwork, and healthy competition through games, activities, and school events.

Middle School Athletics
Students begin developing athletic skill, commitment, and confidence while learning the responsibilities of team participation.

Upper School Athletics
Upper School athletics encourage leadership, discipline, and competitive growth.

Athletic growth at Tyndale is shaped by effort, humility, and shared commitment.

Team Culture

Athletics help students develop habits that shape them both in and beyond competition.

Let us win, and if not let us be bold in the endeavor

Competition with Character

Athletics at Tyndale are designed to form students who compete well, encourage others, and grow in character. Winning is honored and earnestly pursued, yet governed by virtue and formation. Boldness becomes a habit shaped over time through training, perseverance, and joyful participation in God’s good creation.
