Fine Arts
Cultivating creativity, attentiveness, and joyful expression through the pursuit of beauty.
Overview
Fine arts at Tyndale are part of the formation of the whole student. Through music, visual art, performance, and creative practice, students learn habits of attentiveness, discipline, and thoughtful expression.
Students are encouraged to engage carefully with beauty, craftsmanship, and creativity within a distinctly Christian vision of education.
The Arts as Formation
At Tyndale, the arts are not treated as an extra, but as an important part of a rich and ordered education.
We invite students to explore this world through art, singing, instrumental music, dance, acting, and critical listening. To root this appreciation in their daily lives, Tyndale students open each morning with a Hymn of the Month. They also perform regularly throughout the year in our Lessons and Carols service, the spring Arts & Music Fest, and various public events. Ultimately, our goal is for arts education to foster self-confidence, collaborative expression, a lifelong appreciation for beauty, an incredible amount of fun, and—above all—glory to the Creator.
