Mrs. Brooms holds a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Virginia, with additional licensure to teach Spanish in grades K–12. She also holds a B.A. in Spanish and African American and African Studies. While studying at the University of Virginia, Mrs. Brooms was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. She previously taught first grade in Arlington Public Schools and has worked as a private tutor for many years.

Mrs. Brooms loves helping children slow down and really notice the world around them. In the classroom, she brings together warmth, structure, creativity, and a spirit of joyful discovery. True to the classical Christian approach, her students acquire new artistic skills and study the work of master artists, while also honing their ability to appreciate the beauty, order and glory of God reflected in creation.

Mrs. Brooms is married to Tyndale’s chaplain, the Reverend Isaiah Brooms, and together they have four daughters. In her free time, she enjoys walking in the forest by her house, biking, reading, and sharing meals with friends.
